How do I win a pass?
Hold to brace your feet as the boats close, watching your balance and the chop beneath the tintaine. Swipe toward the opponent's pavois at the right moment to land your lance. Whoever ends up in the canal loses the pass; if you both go in, the joust is run again.
Why did my licence portrait or pavois crest not save?
Portraits and crests are made from a camera photo or a photo you pick from your library, entirely on your device. If the picture doesn't appear, check that Tintaine has camera or photo access under Settings → Tintaine, then try again.
Can I play without an internet connection?
Yes — Tintaine plays entirely offline. Your season, your licence and your carnet are saved on your device, not on a server.
How do reminders work?
Turn them on from the Notice board (the Quai tab) and iOS will ask for notification permission. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device for the daily challenge and tournament draws, and you can turn them off at any time.
Is there any betting or in-app purchase?
No. Tintaine has no betting, no money and nothing to buy. Lances, pavois and designs are unlocked purely by playing.
Is Tintaine affiliated with a real jousting society or the town of Sète?
No. Tintaine is an independent, fan-made game inspired by the joutes nautiques tradition. It makes no claim of affiliation with any jousting society, club or town.
