The short version
No account No analytics No advertising No tracking Works offlineTintaine does not collect, transmit or sell any personal data. Your season, your licence, your rivals and your records stay on your device. There is nothing to sign in to and nothing sent to us or to anyone else.
What stays on your device
Everything the game remembers — your weight class, your lances and pavois, your tournament results, your carnet, your settings — is stored locally on your iPhone or iPad, using Apple's on-device storage. None of it is uploaded anywhere, and we have no server that could receive it even if it tried.
Camera and photo library
Tintaine asks for the camera or the photo library only when you choose to make a licence portrait or paint a crest on your pavois. The picture you take or pick is cropped and turned into a small pixel-art portrait entirely on your device, then saved with your local game data. It is never uploaded, never shared with us, and never leaves your device unless you choose to share your carnet yourself through the system share sheet.
| Permission | Why Tintaine asks |
|---|---|
| Camera | To take a photo for your jouster's licence portrait |
| Photo Library | To choose an existing photo for your portrait or your pavois crest |
Notifications
If you turn on reminders on the Notice board, Tintaine schedules a small number of local notifications on your device — a nudge about Mémé Rose's daily challenge, or a note that a tournament draw has opened. These are scheduled and delivered entirely on-device by iOS; no push service and no server are involved, and nothing about you is sent anywhere to make them happen. You can turn reminders off at any time from the Notice board, and iOS Settings always lets you revoke the permission outright.
